SurfGirl Magazine is Britain’s most widely-read surf and beach lifestyle publication for women. As the first independent magazine for women’s surfing in the UK, it is a huge milestone for the sport. Women’s surfing has exploded in the last few years as girls are buying into the surf lifestyle wholesale — this magazine is its bible.
SurfGirl is aimed at women of all ages and abilities who are into surfing and surf culture. It’s an essential read for surf chicks everywhere, featuring travel articles, interviews with pro’s and UK riders, surfing tips, beauty and health advice, the latest fashion and up-to-date news.
SurfGirl is published five times a year and has international distribution.
Here’s what some of the top pro’s had to say about the mag:
“In a world of new, extravagant lip-gloss labels and million-dollar high heeled shoes, SurfGirl actually provides me with something exciting and inspiring to read. The best girl’s surf mag in the world! I say bring on more surf shots, yew!” Bec Woods, ranked 8th on the WCT
“One thing I know for sure is that SurfGirl is a mag for everyone. You’re guaranteed to find cool things to read about and it always covers the core element of surfing. It’s always good to keep updated with how the UK/European surfers are doing, because from what I’ve seen lately they are ripping! Keep up the good work with the mag!” Sarah Beardmore, ranked 29th on the WQS.
“It’s so nice to open a girls’ surf magazine and actually see girls surfing inside, not just a bunch of fluff. SurfGirl keeps it real.” Keala Kennelly, legend.
SurfGirl is published by Orca Publications at their Berry Road Studios, in Newquay, Cornwall.
